<p>If you&#8217;ve been following what&#8217;s been going on in the Internet Marketing scene then I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;ve at least heard about DesktopLightning.com by now. A lot of people are saying really good things about the site, but are they true?<span id="more-64"></span></p>
<p>I decided to write up an honest review of the site, covering what I believe to be its strengths and its weaknesses, just to clear it up once and for all&#8230;</p>
<p>In A Nutshell<br />
  <br />
A catchy new viral marketing tool, capable of broadcasting messages directly to people&#8217;s desktops. Easy to use, and caters primarily to those who have something they want to<br />
promote and are looking for a better way to do it.<br />
  <br />
1. Initial Impressions<br />
  <br />
When I was first introduced to DesktopLightning.com, I wasn&#8217;t quite sure exactly what to think. Everyone was saying it was going to be more powerful than e-mail marketing, but this seemed like too bold of a claim. I signed up anyway, since I usually give things a chance &#8211; that&#8217;s how I have found the several sites I do really trust and rely on.<br />
  <br />
The signup process did take about 60 seconds, as advertised, and their software program downloaded and installed in about 30 seconds.  No long, tedious install processes here. If you own downloadable software, you might want to take a look at how quick their install process is.<br />
  <br />
Right after installing the software, it ran immediately, and I was quickly presented with a tool to invite my friends. Within one-click&#8217;s access was my Inbox, the tool to send<br />
broadcasts, a statistics page, and my favorite, the &#8220;Build Your Network&#8221; page. I&#8217;ll get more into why that&#8217;s my favorite page later.<br />
  <br />
2. Viral Growth</p>
<p>This is where the site really shines, in my opinion. The purpose of a viral marketing site is that you should be able to invite just a few people, and then it will start growing on its own.<br />
Many sites claim to work like this, but few actually work as advertised. I&#8217;m not sure if it&#8217;s because of their unique concept or the slick implementation, but this site is REALLY viral. I give DesktopLightning.com an A+ for spreading like wildfire.<br />
  <br />
3. Direct-To-Desktop Broadcasts<br />
    <br />
So, once you have the people in your network from the direct invitations and the viral growth, then it really gets cool. Now is when you get to broadcast whatever message you want directly to their desktops. Gone are the days of sending out emails and wondering if<br />
they were received due to spam filters and crowded inboxes.<br />
  <br />
If you upgrade to their Platinum membership, then you can even get exact statistics on the percentage of your broadcasts that were opened, but the Platinum membership is not the subject of this review.<br />
  <br />
Here&#8217;s how it works &#8212; the DesktopLightning.com software is what allows the direct-to-desktop communication to be received. Since everyone in your network will have the<br />
DesktopLightning.com application installed, just as you do, this is what allows such smooth and instant communication to occur.<br />
  <br />
Within one hour of your sending the message, everyone in your network who is online will receive a notification on their desktop that they can click to read your message. Anyone who isn&#8217;t online at the time will receive it when they log on next.<br />
  <br />
I&#8217;m sure you can see why this type of communication has been more successful than email as of late, so I won&#8217;t get into it too much here. The basic point though is that there&#8217;s no<br />
way your message can be lost, overlooked, or blocked by any filters. If you upgrade to their Platinum service you can do things like embed video and sound right into the broadcast, but<br />
again, I&#8217;ll save the Platinum service for another review.<br />

4. Building Your Network<br />
 <br />
Most sites out there nowadays don&#8217;t really help you build a network of people below you.  They just throw you a URL and tell you to run with it. While this works for most advanced people, it&#8217;s not something that&#8217;s very easy for people who are just starting out.<br />
  <br />
DesktopLightning.com went really far this time to make sure that everyone has a way to bring people into their network, regardless of skill level. When you click on the &#8220;Build Your Network&#8221; link from within their application, you&#8217;ll be presented with a surprising number of tools to help you build your downline. Everything from banners, to popups, to text ads, to invitation tools, to emails to send out, etc.<br />
  <br />
Then, they continue to offer something which I haven&#8217;t seen on any Internet Marketing site yet &#8212; they have a &#8220;Starting From Scratch&#8221; section, designed specifically for people who have  no list and no website with traffic. If you&#8217;re in that position, then you&#8217;ll love this section, since they detail specific strategies you can use to promote DesktopLightning.com (or anything for that matter), even if you don&#8217;t have anything to start with. Quite a valuable resource.<br />
  <br />
5. Conclusion<br />
   <br />
I would recommend this site to anyone who has something to promote or advertise. It definitely works, and your downline will grow extremely fast if you put some energy into getting it started. The direct-to-desktop broadcasts are a killer app in today&#8217;s online climate, where emails barely even get through anymore. Bux.to is a Paid To Click (PTC) program and you are paid $0.01 for each website you view and the same for each website your referrals view. One part that makes no sense is that Bux.to sells referrals to it&#8217;s members for $1 each. So if a particular member reads 10 ads a day and earns $0.10 why would you sell them for just $1 per referral? Is it just a get-rich-quick scheme for the owner, or can&#8217;t he do his sums?</p>
<p><strong>Is Bux.to paying?</strong></p>
<p>If you Google Bux.to (e.g. is Bux.to a scam) it will tell you some people are paid and some are not. If you are paid, the payments are very slow. The website says the members will be paid in 60 business days, but some people have waited more than 4 months and still not been paid.</p>
<p>It seems this program may make money for people in the short-term but it doesn&#8217;t have any long-term prospects. I think it will run into financial problems.</p>
<p>So is Bux.to a scam? You decide. You may be the lucky one who is paid.</p>

So I decided to put it to the test&#8230;<span id="more-59"></span></p>
<p>My first impression was the site looks professional and clean, with an attractive look and feel. It is easy to read and understand. Joining the site was easy and painless &#8212; they do offer 2 upgrade options but they are not required to gain the benefits.</p>
<p>The Members Area is very well laid out and intuitive &#8212; I could figure out what to do after only a few minutes and was able to get up &amp; running in less than 5 minutes. Inside the site, you create links and ads &#8212; the links you simply enter any URL links you use into the generator and it transforms them into &#8220;Juggernaut&#8221; links. You create ads for anything you want to promote using the Juggernaut Ad Generator, which is very easy to use. You can create as many links and as many ads as you like. And they are organized in a logical way &#8212; links are displayed in the order you create them but also your 5 most recent links appear on the main page for quick reference. Also, since the link generator is the tool you&#8217;ll use most, it is also right at the top of the main page when you login. Very smart!</p>
<p>After you&#8217;ve created at least 1 link and 1 ad you can start to generate traffic. Just use and promote the new Juggernaut link instead of the original source link you had. Every time the Juggernaut link is clicked, the page loads followed by a small ad window in the lower right corner. It displays 3 ads PLUS an image with your affiliate link that goes back to Juggernaut. So if anyone clicks the Juggernaut image they see the site, and if they signup they become your referral. It&#8217;s a great viral feature because you can build referrals without even trying to just by using the site.</p>
<p>Now every time the ad window displays (your Juggernaut links get clicked) you earn credits that get YOUR ad displayed in the ad windows when other members&#8217; links get clicked. So the more clicks, the more times your ads get displayed.</p>
<p>And this works virally &#8212; meaning as you make referrals into Juggernaut (either by promoting it or just using it and visitors click the Juggernaut image on the ad window to join) you also earn ad credits on THEIR link clicks. And this works up to 5 levels deep. So you can create a massive amount of free ad views and web traffic by referring others to Juggernaut also.</p>
<p>I didn&#8217;t get to test the full effect of a big downline yet (I just got the tool) but I can tell you the rest of the site works exactly as stated &#8212; my links got clicked, I earned credits, and my ads got displayed. Juggernaut even tracked my results so I know how many clicks and how many ad displays. That was an impressive unadvertised extra feature.</p>
<p>There is one more benefit and feature which might be the best of them all &#8212; downline emailing. You can email your downline with offers, promotions, or whatever you like, and here is where Juggernaut really shines. They took time to make the emailing often enough that it&#8217;s valuable as a user, but no so often that it&#8217;s a burden to your downline. But the best part about this feature (and actually the credit earning too) is that they use a unique dual-matrix technology that builds your downline in 2 ways. First is the typical way &#8212; you refer members, who then refer members, etc. But the 2nd matrix is a &#8220;forced matrix&#8221; that places all new members in a downline in sequential order. Without getting technical, what it means is that if you join and just stay a member (even if you don&#8217;t do anything) your downline will grow automatically because new members will fill in your forced matrix. And you earn credits on them too. Now THAT&#8217;s cool.</p>
<p>Overall I have to say I am impressed with <a href="http://www.webtrafficjuggernaut.com/vlt/?aff=26280" target="_blank">Web Traffic Juggernaut</a>. It is simple yet powerful, and delivers on its promises. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to increase traffic and advertising.</p>

Gwyneth Paltrow went for the versatility of the Bugaboo Cameleon, but Russell Crowe<span id="more-51"></span> decided the $2000 Stokke Xplory would be his runabout.</p>
<p>They might sound like new cars but, while some cost as much as a second-hand Capri, they are just two of the new breed of designer baby strollers. But results from consumer tests released in Australia and the UK suggest that spending your child&#8217;s inheritence on their pram won&#8217;t guarantee a great product. What&#8217;s more, neither Crow&#8217;s nor Paltrow&#8217;s choices made the Australian consumers Association list of top performers released last year.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s nothing to pay upwards of $1000 now for a top-of-the-line pram. It&#8217;s like buying a BMW or a Rolls-Royce, because you&#8217;re not just buying the car, but the badge as well. But are buyers of more expensive prams being taken for a ride?</p>
<p>Russell Crow&#8217;s Xplory was placed last among 21 prams tested, achieving a satisfactory rating of just 59 per cent. The Bugaboo was only slightly better, with a rating of 69 per cent. The Xplory lost marks for being awkward to fold down and for taking up too much space when folded, as was the Bugaboo. Top spot in the survey went to the $295 Maclaren Techno XLR which had a satisfactory rating of 77 per cent. A $160 Mamas &amp; papas Mamu Mul stroller scored 76 per cent.</p>
<p>The survey showed that while some parents were drawn to a brand, it is weight and ease of use that dictates what most parents go for. Generally women prefer the lighter models as they are the ones pulling them in and out of cars all day. They also like the basket underneath to be nice and big and accessible.</p>

<p>Attraction to someone who is completely different is exciting, and our lives are often enriched by these relationships. They help us learn about ourselves. However, dating an opposite can be a recipe for  disaster in the long term.</p>
<p>Looking on current dating sites, love seekers place a lot of emphasis on finding a partner wth complimentary interests. After the thrill of chasing someone different in their younger days, older daters realise they need to be with someone who is similar in a long-term relationship.</p>
<p>Some personality differences can be complimentary. One person may be more emotional and the other very steady, and this can balance the relationship. Being different can allow you to compensate in areas you know you are not great in. Experts agree that long term compatability is based on shared values and beliefs.</p>

<p>As the music pumps, so too do the young men and women, dressed in their tight pants and even tighter shirts, they twist and gyrate as if no one is watching. Today&#8217;s average gym might sound more like a nightclub, but these places of sculpting and toning muscles are fast becoming a young person&#8217;s alcohol-free hangout.</p>
<p>Younger members of the community are using the gym to socialise and meet potential partners as well as improve their fitness. Many women can vouch for the gym as a regular pick-up venue. Men see us at our worst with no makeup, so they know what they are getting, women say.</p>
<p>Socialising at the gym is popular because young people can share common and similar interests. But, there is also an element of voyeurism at play. Exercise can bring out a bit of testosterone as the men get to see the girls stripped down and sweaty.</p>
<p>When asked to describe men at the gym, women said they fell into two groups. Firstly, there are the men who go to get fit and socialise with their mates. Then you&#8217;ve got the hardcore group who train hard with weights and look at themselves in the mirror. But some women were more interested in this &#8220;alpha-male&#8221; - the bloke lifting the most weights. This is due to an increasingly image-conscious society.</p>
<p>And for all the bodybuilding bachelors out there who want to meet and socialise at the gym, the girls have a simple message. Don&#8217;t try too hard.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We are a selfish mob, we Australians. And we are not particulary good at taking responsibility for our own actions. Take the debate about the soaring cost of living - the rise in the cost of everything from fuel to food to housing. The first place we look for answers and sheet home the blame is the Government.<span id="more-46"></span></p>
<p>Nothing, it seems, is our fault. Nearly 65 per cent of voters supported the Opposition&#8217;s proposal to cut fuel excise by 5c a litre. But then 83 per cent of the same respondents said cutting excise was only a short term solution. It&#8217;s the &#8220;gimme&#8221; mentality at work. Voters realise if it&#8217;s going to help their hip pockets in the short term, then stuff the consequences.</p>
<p>For those looking for a answers to rising prices, the best place to look might be your own back yards, not the Government. Hurting a bit when you fill up the tank? Perhaps some of you should take a good look at yourselves and ask why you need a two-tonne 4WD with enough sheet metal to withstand a direct hit from a two-inch mortar just to do the shopping and drive the kids to school.</p>
<p>Speaking of our own back yards, the same holds true with the cost of housing. A proposal to build an &#8220;affordable&#8221; housing development where the dwellings only have one-car garages, one bathroom and bugger-all in the way of a back yard has attracted a storm of criticism. Opponents have dismissed the project as building a collection of shacks.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s time for a reality check here. Since when was it every first home buyer&#8217;s right to move into a four-bedroom McMansion with two bathrooms, a swimming pool and a three-car garage? It&#8217;s up to us to alter our behaviour and stop demanding everything as a right before the supply side of the economic model runs out altogether.</p>
<p>If you are one of those people who can&#8217;t help themselves, and must have the best of everything right at this moment, a work-at-home <a href="http://www3.telus.net/rmc/delite/mem/dejohnl.htm" target="_blank">opportunity</a> may just be the answer to the money side.</p>
